Def Leppard formed in 1977 and quickly established itself as part of the new wave British heavy metal movement of the early 1980s. The band's greatest commercial success came between the early 1980s and 1990s.
Def Leppard's first Major label studio album was released on Mercury records, " On Through The Night" reached number 15 on the UK charts but received little notice elsewhere. Their second album, "High and Dry," is when they hooked up with producer Mutt Lange. Who helped them define their Melodic pop-metal sound. Their single "Bring on the Heartbreak," released in 1982, would be one of the first videos played on MTV, which was in its infancy at that time.
This t-shirt pays homage to their 2nd album, "High and Dry," and shows the world that you have great taste in music and style. I usually wear my Rock t-shirts with blazers, but everyone has their look.
It wasn't till the band's third release, " Pyromania," that they would become the anthemic arena rock you remember today. Their single "Photograph" would be the beginning of their pop-metal takeover. Everyone remembers the first moment they heard Def Leppard or saw one of their shirts and had to have it. This is not just a shirt. It is a piece of history.
This shirt is made of 100% soft spun cotton.
